We deliver the following training sessions:
- Safeguarding Children - this course covers groups 1 and some of group 2. It enables all those who work with children and young people the ability to safeguard in their organisation. The course usually takes 3.5 hours to deliver but this can be tailored to suit.
- Safeguarding Adults at Risk of Harm - this course covers the basics that you need to know if you regularly work as a volunteer or in a paid capacity. It it usually 3.5 hours long butcan be tailored to suit your organisation.
- Warner Interviewing Skills - other agencies use something similar called valued based interviewing (VBI). Is a training session designed to give those who interview prospective workers the skills to ask more probing questions in order to safeguard the vulnerable groups that they are working with. PLEASE NOTE that this type of interviewing should be carried out by members of staff who ARE NOT the prospective workers line manager. This training session usually takes around 5 hours to deliver. It is best to have 9 and above attendees.
- Safer Recruitment - using the latest training package created by the Safer Recruitment Consortium. This training was introduced in the wake of the Soham Murders. It aims to ensure that those who recruit members of staff do so with safeguarding in mind. You pick up hints and tips and look at ways in which we can all work together to protect those we work with. This training is suitable to those working with children and those working with vulnerable adults. This session is usually delivered in 6.5 to 7 hours.
- Basic Adult and Children Safeguarding - This session has been added due to demand from our clients. This training is 3.5 hours long and includes the very basics you need. This session is suitable for 8 or more attendees.
